Universal Reveals the Official Names of All Seven Lands at Universal Kids Resort
Universal has finally pulled back the curtain on all seven lands coming to Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas. We already had a few of these names pegged from trademark filings, but now we can see how it all fits together. It’s shaping up to be a seriously fun lineup. Here’s the full list, along with Universal’s descriptions of each land.
DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
In DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp, meet Shrek and Fiona as they take you through their fairytale—or ogretale—love story. Splash around in this waterlogged paradise built especially for Shrek’s triplets at Shrek’s Swamp Splash and Smash, and take a ride on Shrek & Fiona’s Happily Ogre After to hear how an ogre and a princess were enchanted by love.
We think guests will also be able to shop in Triplets Treasures, a store themed around Shrek and Fiona’s triplets.
Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom
Get ready for an undersea adventure with Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick and Sandy in Bikini Bottom. There’ll be oceans of nautical nonsense as you explore familiar locations from the hit show—splashing around Mussel Beach, frolicking in Jellyfish Fields and putting your boating skills to the test at Mrs. Puff’s Boating School.
We’re getting a pineapple! A wet play area features SpongeBob’s iconic home, one that will be a huge hit throughout the summer. Learn more about every ride coming to this land.
Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
Let the games begin as Illumination’s Minions overrun a peaceful retreat. When Yellow Minions try to tame their Purple counterparts, it leads to a wave of unpredictable, water- soaked fun. Join this action-packed competition, or just relax and watch the chaos unfold. Either way, every splash, laugh and surprise might just bring everyone closer together.
The highlight of this land is the HAFEMA Wild Raft Ride that fills the center of the park.
Jurassic World Adventure Camp
Get up close with some baby dinosaurs and put your exploration skills to the test at Jurassic World Adventure Camp! Here, you’ll brave exciting rides like Jurassic World: Cretaceous Coaster and Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin, scale the Lookout Towers for a Pterandon’s eye view of the park, and come face-to-face with a baby Raptor.
The kinetic energy in this land is going to be fantastic. A free play area, meet-and-greets, a coaster, and a few towers will make this land a hit with kids (and their parents).
DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
Bumping tunes, awesome energy and smiles for miles! Welcome to DreamWorks’ TrollsFest: the wildest party in Troll Kingdom where you’ll dance, sing and play alongside Poppy and the gang. Get your Trolls on at Sparkle Shine Glitter Glow, then dance like no one’s watching at Trolls Pop It Up. And it wouldn’t be TrollsFest without a visit to BroZone Cones.
Yep, all of that and Rhonda’s Trollfest Express and a Sheila Balloon-themed tower ride.
DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
You’re just in time for Del Mar’s kitty adoption day! Join DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots, Mama Luna and Perrito for the feline festivities—including meet and greets, attractions like Swings Over Del Mar and Mama Luna’s Puppet Show, classic carnival games, delicious food and a relaxing sensory garden. You won’t want to miss this pawty.
Isle of Curiosity with DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse
Your family’s first land to explore is Isle of Curiosity: a perfect playtopia designed for kids to freely roam and play alongside their favorite characters. Enjoy shade trees and restful benches, fill up on delicious, kid-approved classics, then join the one and only Gabby for an epic dance party.
We also think the land will feature an interactive shopping experience.
It’s fun seeing all seven lands finally revealed for Universal Kids Resort. We had a few guesses based on trademark filings, but now we can actually picture how each area fits together. Based on concept art, every land is filled with personality and plenty for families to do. This little park in Frisco could become the new gold standard for how to do a “kids’ park.”
