Rhonda’s TrollsFest Express Goes Vertical at Universal Kids Resort

The Trolls-themed rollercoaster has gone vertical at Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas. Sections of the pink and green ZIERER Force 190 are visible near the park’s entrance on Universal Parkway. Its rising track also highlights the close proximity of the resort’s hotel to the park. Guests who book theme park view rooms are in for a treat.

Frisco’s Trolls attraction isn’t a duplicate of Universal Studios Florida’s Trollercoaster. That one, built by Vekoma, features caterpillar trains. Universal Kids vehicles are themed after Rhonda, a silent character in the Trolls Band Together film. Trollspedia describes her as an “Armadillo Bus.” She plays a prominent role in the movie’s finale, which feels a lot like a rollercoaster ride. DreamWorks Animation filed a trademark for “Rhonda’s TrollsFest Express” in March.

Update (December 1, 2025): In our original article, we shared that we hadn’t yet seen the lead car for the Trolls-themed coaster. That changed last month, when a wrapped vehicle showed up in the staging lot. That item gave us definitive evidence that Rhonda’s face will lead out those ZIERER trains.

Alongside the rollercoaster, Trolls Land at Universal Kids Resort will feature a balloon gondola ride and possibly a stage show. Universal Kids Resort opens in summer 2026.
