Walt Disney World dining reservations can be made online or in the MDE app starting around 6:00 AM Eastern US time. You might want to wake up a little earlier as some restaurants can be available at 5:45 AM.

Disneyland dining reservations can be made online or in the Disneyland Mobile app starting around 6:00 AM Pacific US time. Be aware that some reservations are known to pop up as early as 3 AM Pacific US time.

Starting July 24, Walt Disney World guests can pre-book up to three Lightning Lane attractions. Here are the details:

Guests with Disney World hotel reservations can make selections seven days in advance. They can also book rides for their entire stay (up to 14 days).

Guests without hotel reservations can make selections three days in advance.

The registration window opens at 7 AM Eastern US time.

Guests can make their selections before purchasing the service.

Most rides will be broken into tiers. Guests can only pre-book only one attraction for the tier 1 group.

Once guests use a selection, they can make another in the My Disney Experience app.

Finally, Disney is updating Genie+’s confusing terminology.

You may book your home resort 11 months before your desired check-in date. The booking window opens at 8 AM Eastern US time. Most DVC resorts will have ample availability on this date, but certain resort room types can still be difficult to book (e.g., value villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo). You will want to book online at dvcmember.com rather than wait for the phone lines to open.

You may book your non-home DVC stay starting 7 months before your check-in date. We highly recommend booking a stay at your home resort in your 11-month window just in case your resort is unavailable. Editing existing bookings is incredibly easy on the DVC website. You can make those changes starting at 8 AM Eastern US time.

DisneyBands are coming to Disney ships. These bands are identical in every way to the MagicBands we’re used to wearing in the parks. Cruise guests will be able to access their cabins and pay for food and souvenirs with this wearable technology. If you want to purchase a cruise-specific DisneyBand+, be sure to do it between 45 and 11 days before your embarkation day.

You can book special events and tours 60 days before your vacation begins. Disney World reservations open online around 6:00 AM Eastern US, but some activities (Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique being one of them) are available at 12 midnight Eastern US time.

Disneyland reservations generally open around 6:00 AM Pacific US time, but we recommend logging in sooner as reservations can be made available a little early.

Disney recently implemented significant changes to their Disability Access Service (DAS). We recommend reviewing the new rules before applying for a DAS pass.

Eligible guests can book a virtual appointment no more than 30 days before their vacation. In-person registration is no longer offered.

Disney will no longer issue pre-arrival attraction passes by default. They’re also decreasing the part size from six to four guests (with exceptions for larger families). Finally, DAS enrollment eligibility increases from 60 to 120 days.

Reserving a Disney Vacation Package requires a $200 deposit. Final payment is due 30 days before arrival. Reservations made 30 days or less prior to arrival will require full payment at the time of booking.

Guests needing to cancel a Vacation Package can do so without penalty 30 or more days before arrival. Guests canceling 2 to 29 days prior to arrival will receive a refund, minus the $200 deposit. The trip is non-refundable if canceled one day or less before the arrival date.

A room-only reservation requires a deposit equal to the first night’s room rate. Guests will pay the balance once they arrive at their Disney hotel. Guests can cancel and receive a full refund up to five days before their arrival. They will forfeit their deposit if they cancel less than 5 days before check-in.
