Shrek-Themed Convoy Vehicle Spotted at Universal Kids Resort
New ride parts have arrived at Universal Kids Resort! This evening, we spotted what appear to be Shrek-themed vehicles and track pieces in the park’s ride staging area. One vehicle’s lower half was visible, most likely uncovered by last night’s massive storm.
Update (January 22, 2026): A Shrek vehicle is back in the park’s staging yard. And we now know the attraction’s name: Shrek & Fiona’s Happily Ogre After.

Our original story continues below.

More of the Shrek vehicle was revealed on a return visit. We saw a number 13 on the rear fender, an onion carriage hood ornament, and the ogre triplets on the rear license plate.

In addition to the vehicles and track, nearby components were wrapped with Zamperla tape. With that bit of information, @Aahs_n_Oohs began researching that company’s car-based attractions. He compared the track and vehicle wheels to previous installations and believes that Frisco is getting a Zamperla Convoy.

Most of Zamperla’s Convoys feature connected vehicles (hence the name), but one image in their gallery shows individual cars. We expect Universal Kids Resort’s ride to use standalone vehicles. Here’s how Zamperla describes the attraction:
“Designed for family fun, Zamperla’s Convoy is a classic and captivating ride that brings the excitement of a convoy parade to any amusement park or entertainment venue. Each car is individually powered, accommodating an instant capacity of 20 or 24 riders, depending on the numbers of vehicles.”
Each vehicle has interactive elements, including lights, “trumpets,” and twin steering wheels. The minimum height requirement is 30 inches (75 cm) for accompanied minors and 36 inches (90 cm) for solo guests. Zamperla promises that adults will fit comfortably.

The Shrek-themed Convoy appears in the lower half of the concept art Universal shared in June. Just behind it is what we believe to be “Shrek’s Swamp Splash & Smash,” a wet and dry free play area.
