Is a “Cat-tastic” Gabby’s Dollhouse Store Headed to Universal Kids Resort?
We might have a name for the “unique immersive retail experience” coming to Universal Kids Resort. DreamWorks Animation recently registered two trademarks for “Cat-tastic.” One covers items like games and playthings, the other clothing. Since several existing Gabby’s Dollhouse products also use the same name, it’s not a stretch to imagine a Cat-tastic store is coming to Frisco’s park.

Interestingly, another Gabby retail space recently launched in Los Angeles. CAMP, known for its shop/play experiences, is currently offering Gabby’s Dollhouse x CAMP. Here’s how they describe the paid event:
“Gabby and the kitty crew are throwing a special Friendship Party—but it’s not ready yet! They need everyone’s help to make, bake, and decorate the party together. Play your way through the dollhouse: Get tiny in Gabby’s bedroom, ‘bake’ in Cakey’s Kitchen, explore the Magic Fairy Garden, try your hand at Spa Science, culminating in an epic dance party in the party room where you meet Gabby herself for a sweet photo moment.”

The CAMP pop-ups will travel alongside Gabby’s Dollhouse Live! as the stage show tours the country. The first store debuted in Long Beach, California, last month. Check out this video highlighting the event:
While we’re certain a Gabby meet-and-greet is coming to Universal Kids Resort, we don’t know exactly what else Cat-tastic will offer. Universal did say kids will enjoy a “custom Gabby’s Dollhouse experience” at the park, so there is a possibility it will be modeled after CAMP’s immersive spaces. If so, expect it to be a hit. Giving kids the chance to free-play ‘inside’ one of their favorite shows? Good luck convincing them to leave for the Cretaceous Coaster or the Minion’s Wild Raft Ride.
