World Premiere in Disney Adventure World To Open in Spring 2025

Disney is transforming Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World. When complete, the massive undertaking will replace 90% of the original park. While most of the new lands and attractions won’t debut until 2026, the World Premiere area of Disney Adventure World will open in spring 2025.

“Opening in Spring 2025, World Premiere will bring a brand-new story paying homage to historic movie theaters in Hollywood and the entertainment industry. An even more immersive experience than before, you’ll find numerous references to Los Angeles, Disney, and other parks hidden within the sets. You might even recognize the façade of the historic Animation Building found on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank.”

The new area will include The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, a quick-service eatery. The Searchlight kiosk will sell snacks and hot and cold beverages.

Shoppers will enjoy Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique. The store’s Art Deco décor will heavily feature Mickey Mouse. Wallpaper, furniture, and Cast Member costumes are all inspired by the icon. Eric Goldberg, the legendary Disney Animation director, designed a golden Mickey statue featured at the center of the store.

My favorite aspect of World Premiere is the immersive Los Angeles skyline being added by Imagineers. The dynamic always-nighttime backdrop will include flying airplanes, moving spotlights, fireworks, and blinking neon signs. That level of immersion will also be evident on the ground. Imagineers have reproduced the look and feel of the buildings from Burbank’s Disney Studios. Check out the following video for more.

Finally, teams are also transforming the park’s former central square into World Premiere Plaza. It sounds like that area, described as a “dynamic and warm environment,” won’t be unveiled in the spring. Instead, Disney said that those surroundings will gradually be revealed before the park’s major expansion is unveiled in 2026.
