Universal Kids Resort Encouraging Performers to Create Casting Profiles
In January, Metropolis Productions announced a casting call for dancers, costumed characters, character actors, and puppeteers interested in working at Universal Kids Resort. Those auditions were held last month, but the park’s careers page is once again seeking performers.
Universal is currently listing three entertainer categories: actors, animated costumed characters, and movers/performers. Details are scarce, at least on the website. Clicking those listings sends applicants to a page where they can create a performer profile. Candidates must upload a resume and headshot, and applicants seeking acting, dance, or specialty performance roles will also need to submit a video.
Once submitted, applicants will receive alerts when new audition opportunities open that match their skillsets. Profiles remain active for six months, after which candidates will be invited to submit a new one to remain eligible for casting notices.
Given how character-heavy Universal Kids Resort is expected to be, casting will likely remain an ongoing process.
