Every Character You Can Meet at Universal Kids Resort
Universal has revealed new details about the character encounters coming to Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas. Alongside the official names and logos for the park’s seven themed lands, we now know who kids (and adults) can meet when the new Frisco park opens. From Shrek and Fiona to SpongeBob and Gabby, each land brings its own set of characters to life. Here’s the full list of confirmed meet-and-greets so far.
Universal Kids Resort character encounters
Shrek’s Swamp
Guests can meet Shrek and Fiona in their muddy, storybook home. The concept art shows the iconic ogre welcoming guests to a family-friendly version of the swamp.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom
At Bikini Bottom, kids can meet SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, and Sandy Cheeks. I’m rope-dropping this one.
Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
We don’t know which Minions will be available for character meets, but it’s a safe bet that kids can hang out with Kevin, Stuart, and Bob.
Jurassic World Adventure Camp
Thankfully, it’s not Blue. Instead, a baby dinosaur encounter is the perfect dino starter kit for younger guests.
TrollsFest
Fans can dance with Poppy and Branch in a “glitter-filled meet and greet dance party.” Universal says other Trolls will also join the party.
Puss in Boots Del Mar
The swashbuckling feline himself, Puss in Boots, will greet guests in this seaside town.
Isle of Curiosity with DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse
Guests will first encounter Meet Gabby and her adorable cat friends when entering the park.
Universal Kids Resort looks like a dream destination for young DreamWorks and Nickelodeon fans. Between Shrek’s Swamp, SpongeBob’s undersea world, and Gabby’s Dollhouse, there’s a character for every kid to meet.
