Universal Kids Resort Holding Performer Auditions in February
Casting is officially getting underway for Universal Kids Resort.
Frisco-based entertainment production company Metropolis Productions is casting a wide range of roles, including dancers, costumed characters, character actors, and puppeteers. Performers are encouraged to audition for multiple roles.
Here’s Metropolis’ announcement:
“For our UKR Auditions, we are casting for multiple roles, and many performers may be a great fit for more than one opportunity. Several roles are well-suited for cross-training, so we encourage you to review all available roles and consider auditioning for anything that feels like a good match.
“You are welcome to audition for multiple roles, and in some cases, we may ask performers to be considered for additional roles during the audition process.”
Universal Kids Resort needs lots of performers. Each of the park’s seven lands features character encounters, including Shrek and Princess Fiona; SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star; Kevin, Stuart, and Bob; Poppy and Branch; Puss in Boots and Mama Luna; and Gabby.
Universal Kids Resort audition details
While most auditions will be in-person, non-local dancers and animated costume characters may submit videos.
Dancers & Animated Costume Characters
- First round: February 13 from 10 AM – 4 PM
- Callbacks: February 16 from 10 AM – 4 PM
- Costumed characters must be between 5′ and 5’2″
Character Actors
- Audition: February 14 from 12 – 6 PM
Three character roles are listed:
- Mama Luna
- Governor of Del Mar
- Miscellaneous Lead Actor / Host Roles
Puppeteers
- Audition: February 15 from 1 – 7 PM
