Monsters Inc. Land Replacing Muppets Courtyard, Muppet*Vision 3D

My worst fears have been realized. Muppets Courtyard and Muppet*Vision 3D are being replaced by a Monsters Inc. land. Yes, I love those Pixar monsters, but Muppets Courtyard, including PizzeRizzo, is such a fun place to hang out on crowded Hollywood Studios days. I’ll miss it.

All is not lost, however. The Muppets are getting a new Hollywood Studios home. They’re replacing Aerosmith as the hosts of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Here’s the announcement from Disney.

“Get ready to open the door because Mike and Sulley are coming to town!. That’s right, humans will be able to enter the world of Monsters, Inc. when it is added to the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Building off the exciting announcements from last summer’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the new land will include the coaster we’ve all dreamed of – a suspended ride recreating the door vault scene – plus dining and shopping and a whole new theater show.”

No further Monsters Inc. land details were provided. We suggest getting to Hollywood Studios soon to enjoy Walt Disney World’s greatest show before it’s gone forever.
