First Look: Beak and Barrel Signs Added to Magic Kingdom’s Lounge
Disney unveiled two newly installed signs at The Beak and Barrel, Magic Kingdom’s Pirates-themed bar. Both display the familiar logo but offer distinctly different looks.
The primary marquee is printed on a large piece of parchment. In addition to the logo, the weathered, curled paper also includes a pirate’s map and Rummy, the lounge’s mascot. It rests in a planter framed by ropes and barrels.

The second sign hangs from thick ropes nearer the entrance. The logo is painted on a barrel top and framed by decaying wood. Barnacles cover the edges, hinting at years of exposure to ocean air.

Our initial reaction is that Imagineers nailed the assignment. We can’t wait to see the signs – and the inside of the Beak and Barrel – when we visit next month.
