Universal Shares First Look Inside Jurassic World Adventure Camp at Universal Kids Resort
Universal Creative just gave us our first official look inside the real Jurassic World Adventure Camp at Universal Kids Resort. Not a scale model. Not concept art. The actual land under construction in Frisco, Texas. And the short video reveals a lot.
Here’s how Universal introduced the preview:
“Here’s your first look at Jurassic World Adventure Camp 🦖
We’re giving you a quick peek at the prehistoric excitement coming to Universal Kids Resort, where young explorers can step into the world of dinosaurs, discovery, and adventure.”
The reel opens with close-ups of Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin, including an up-close look at the ride vehicles. Then Brennan, a dino wrangler, introduces Sierra, a baby Velociraptor. She’ll be able to run over 60 mph when full-grown. Thankfully, she fits in Brennan’s arms for now. Guests will be able to meet those baby raptors and even witness a raptor hatching once the park opens.
The video then jumps to something I’ve never been able to photograph myself: a Jurassic World jeep. Seriously. I’ve walked the perimeter hundreds of times, yet Universal has kept that one hidden from me.
We’re also treated to footage of a Jurassic World Cretaceous Coaster train sitting on the track. I photographed those ride vehicles in the staging yard a few weeks ago. Seeing them on the actual coaster is all the confirmation I need to keep up my daily visits. Testing can’t be far off.
Universal Kids Resort is clearly bringing the details. Adventure Camp may not have the high-speed thrills you’ll find at Universal Islands of Adventure, but the theming looks spot-on. Kids are going to absolutely love this land.
