The Record Setters Brought Walk-Around Comedy to Hollywood Studios for the Holidays
The Record Setters quietly debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier this fall. It was so quiet that I didn’t even know about it. Luckily, I stumbled upon the seasonal performers one afternoon in November as they were setting up near the Hyperion Theater.

As their name implies, the comedic duo is focused on setting “records.” Their cart features a cartoon performer yelling, “That’s a record!” That phrase is repeated so often during the act that, by the end, the audience was shouting it along with the jugglers.

Donald Duck accompanied The Record Setters on that November afternoon, even getting in on the act himself. He balanced two spinning plates on large candy canes as his friends juggled while standing on rola bola boards. According to the crew (and the audience), they set a record with that feat.

They also made history when one performer balanced a broom on his chin while lying down, then stood up without letting it fall. I doubt Guinness will get involved, but it was impressive nonetheless.
The records weren’t official, but that didn’t matter. The Record Setters put on a great show. Unfortunately, the comedy troupe put away their juggling pins on December 23. We’re unsure if they’ll return for the holidays in 2026. We hope so. Walk-around characters are some of our favorite theme park experiences.
