“Music by John Williams” Documentary Coming to Theaters, Disney+
I was four when I first saw Star Wars. Back then, the scroll didn’t mention “A New Hope.” I was so small that I couldn’t keep the theater seat from collapsing upward. And we certainly didn’t have Dolby Surround Sound. But I loved everything about that day, mostly Chewbacca, R2D2, and the music. That’s why I’m so excited by today’s news. A John Williams documentary is coming to theaters and Disney+.
Music by John Williams, directed by Laurent Bouzereau, will debut at the American Film Institute (AFI) Fest on October 23. It will have a limited theatrical run before it premieres on Disney+ on November 1.
The iconic movie score composer has 54 Oscar nominations and five wins. Objectively, that second number is way too low. I stand by that comment. See below:

John Williams’ scores elevate movies. His motifs define characters. We all know his resumé, so rather than listing it here, I’m just going to share a few of my favorites.
I urge every movie fan to watch the Music by John Williams documentary in a theater. His music needs to be heard in Dolby Surround Sound.
