Florida Law Requires Quarterly DVC Board Meetings
A new Florida law affects the management of Florida-based condominium associations. As a result, Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is now required to hold quarterly board meetings for its Florida resorts. The first meeting under the new format will be held on September 6, 2024.
The law also requires changes to the format of the December 12, 2024 meeting, which is now a general session. In the past, the annual meeting was a joint board and member meeting. Board and member meetings will now be held individually for each resort on December 10 and 11, 2024. Members can only attend the meetings for the resorts in which they own.
The updated legislation does not impact The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort or resorts outside of Florida.
The individual board and member meetings are a nice update. It should allow DVC owners to ask questions specific to their resort. DVC promises more details on the updated meeting structure in the future. You can read more here.
