EPCOT Manatees Lil Joe and Inigo Relocated to New Gulf Coast Home

Early this morning, EPCOT’s beloved manatees bid farewell to Walt Disney World. Lil Joe and Inigo were quietly relocated from SeaBase to their new home at the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The news was first reported by WDW News Today.

The Manatee Rescue and Rehabilitation Partnership and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service recommended the move, just as they recommended Lou the Manatee be relocated last September. Inigo was brought in soon after, but his time at EPCOT was short-lived.
Three dolphins were also relocated from SeaBase last fall. No replacements are planned. The manatees’ departure signals another shift in the aquarium’s focus. The facility will now only provide short-term care to sea cows.
We visited Lil Joe and Inigo in November. Joe put on a show for us that day. Inigo was much more chill.
