Voices of Liberty to Debut New Costumes at EPCOT Festival of the Arts
One of Disney World’s most talented musical groups is getting new duds. The Voices of Liberty is returning to its roots with themed costumes. Outside of the holidays, the a capella group has performed in simple red and blue outfits for the last few years. The ensemble will debut its new costumes during the 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Arts.
The Voices of Liberty are powerhouse singers. While their new costumes should be visually appealing, they also need to allow the musicians freedom of movement. Designers collaborated with the performers to ensure they delivered something aesthetically beautiful and functional. They also sourced a sustainable fabric made of 50% or more of recycled materials.
Nobody ever collaborated with me when I was in marching band. Our polyester uniforms weren’t beautiful, functional, or sustainable. I won’t be sharing photos.
As for the aesthetics, designers were inspired by architecture and music.
“We wanted to create a cohesive look that celebrated the grandness of the rotunda in which they perform and the impact of their musical presentation through incorporating a visual aesthetic of music itself.”

Designers also drew inspiration from a vintage American flag. Where the current outfits feature bright shades of red and blue, the updated looks have a more subdued color palette. I dig the shift. The previous outfits were a little too on the nose.
The Voices of Liberty seem very happy with their new look. To show their appreciation, they gave a special performance in the Costuming team’s shop while wearing their new duds.
The Voices of Liberty perform several times daily at The American Adventure Pavilion in EPCOT.
