Yacht & Beach Club’s Stormalong Bay Reopens

Stormalong Bay, the uber-popular pool shared by Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, has reopened after a lengthy refurbishment. Stormalong’s lazy river, sand-bottom pool, and whirlpool spas welcomed guests this morning. Crews are still working on the iconic Shipwreck Pool and waterslide. Those will reopen later this summer.

According to multiple reports, Stormalong Bay’s pools and decks were all resurfaced. Fresh sand was also added to the sand-bottom pool. Pool chairs and cabanas were also updated.

We always enjoy visiting Stormalong Bay, especially its lazy river. We were thrilled to hear that the Lakeshore Lodge will feature its very own lazy river when it opens in 2027.

With most of the pool enhancements now complete, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts are shifting focus to their porte cochere updates. Construction at the Beach Club is already underway and should last through September. The same work will take place at the Yacht Club from July to October.
