Universal Kids Resort Introduces Explorer Ticket for $69.99

Universal Kids Resort has introduced a new ticket option that bridges the gap between 1- and 2-day tickets and Annual Passes. The Explorer Ticket costs $69.99 plus tax and allows repeat visits Sundays through Thursdays through March 11, 2027. There are a few blockout dates.

For guests planning more than one visit, the math is simple. Single-day tickets on those days generally cost $49.99–$59.99, while many 2-day tickets run $66.99–$79.99. Prices are considerably higher on select dates in November and December. The Explorer Ticket offers dozens of possible visits for roughly the price of two days.

Silver Annual Passes cost $129.99 (or $164.99 with parking). Gold Annual Passes cost $199.99.

There are a few caveats. Tickets don’t include complimentary parking or discounts on food, beverages, or merchandise. It also excludes Fridays and Saturdays, with additional blockout dates on December 20, 27, 28, 29, and 30.

Universal Kids Resort is also closed on the following dates:

  • November 3–4, 10–11, 17–18, 26
  • December 25
  • January 6-8, 11-14, 19-31
  • February 1-11, 17-19, 22-26
  • March 2-3

When purchasing, guests must select the first day they plan to use the ticket. The calendar currently lists December 31, 2026, as the last available first-use date.

Day tickets can be upgraded to an Explorer Ticket, which can then be upgraded to an Annual Pass. So if you’re unsure whether you’ll return, start with a 1-day ticket, check out the vibe, and upgrade before you leave.

A Silver Annual Pass may make more sense if you want to keep visiting beyond March 11. But if you’re considering 1- or 2-day tickets and can work within the Explorer Ticket’s calendar, this is an easy upgrade.
