Is Jurassic World Adventure Camp Coming to Universal Kids Resort?

Jurassic World Adventure Camp might be coming to Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas. Universal has filed three trademarks for the name, each for different goods and services. And unlike most filings, these included a logo. Big thanks to @Aahs n Oohs for catching this one.

The first filing covers amusement park, theme park, and water park services, suggesting that Jurassic World Adventure Camp is the name of the park’s dinosaur-themed land. The area will be home to the Cretaceous Coaster, Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin, Pteranodrop, Jurassic World Lookout Towers, and more.

The second trademark is for “hotels, restaurant, bar, and cafe services.” That covers a wide gamut. Will we see Adventure Camp-themed rooms in the Universal Kids Resort hotel? Or does this filing cover a possible restaurant? We wouldn’t mind both. Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see all the dinosaur-centric details Universal is bringing to Frisco. We’re big fans of dinos in theme parks.

The final submission is for advertising and retail store services, among many other things. This is standard practice and prevents other companies from using the same name (or similar names) to promote their products. It’s also important for cross-promotions. Basically, Universal is locking down “Jurassic World Adventure Camp” for however they wish to use it. In the case of Universal Kids, that might be for a dinosaur shop.

With three trademark filings, covering park operations, hospitality, and advertising, it’s clear Universal is serious about Jurassic World Adventure Camp. Between the Cretaceous Coaster, jumping towers, and possible hotel tie-ins, this “adventure camp” sounds like the perfect playground for kids.
