Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Closing Permanently on August 18, 2025

Hollywood Rip Ride Ride is closing forever on August 18, 2025. But that’s not the last day to ride. The 65-mph rollercoaster will scramble its last brains on August 17. Here’s the official announcement from Universal Orlando:

“Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit will permanently close on August 18, 2025, to make way for a new experience. More details will be available at a later date.”

We’re unsure of what that new experience is, but many believe it will be another coaster.

If you scan social media today, you won’t find any middle-of-the-road takes on the Maurer AG coaster. Universal fans either love or hate this attraction. For those who do love it, we feel your pain. Literally.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit’s fans should make plans to visit Universal Studios Florida on August 17, 2025.
