Every Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Accommodation Explained

Disney Vacation Club announced that Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will begin welcoming guests on July 1, 2027. That part is simple. Deciding which room to book once reservations open will not be.

The new Disney Vacation Club resort will offer 10 room configurations. That unusually long list includes two types of studios that sleep two, two more that sleep four, traditional DVC villas, freestanding Lake Houses, and a presidential suite.

On top of all that, guests may still need to choose between different views and club-level options. Booking at seven and 11 months is going to be so much fun.

To make sense of it all, we’re organizing the Lakeshore Lodge rooms by capacity. First, here’s the short version.

Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Jambo House and Kidani Village offer plenty of variety, but they have nothing on Lakeshore Lodge.

Several of these accommodations also differ from traditional DVC villas. Most DVC studios pair a bed with a Murphy bed or sleeper sofa, while the Resort Studios and Hidden Willow Presidential Suite feel more like conventional hotel rooms with their regular beds.

Update (August 28, 2026): DVC announced a Member preview of the resort, shedding new light on the view categories for most of the room types. We’ve added those details below:

Duo Studio

First introduced at Disney’s Riviera Resort and later added to the Disneyland Hotel and Polynesian’s Island Tower, the Duo Studio is a good option for solo travelers and couples. You won’t get a regular bed, but DVC’s Murphy beds are really comfortable. And you’ll save some points that can be used for a longer stay or an extra Disney vacation. The Duo Studios feature Encanto theming.

Resort Studio King

Resort Studio King rooms will also sleep two guests, but they’ll feel more like traditional hotel rooms than DVC studios. Their design draws inspiration from the sweeping landscapes of Pocahontas.

Select rooms will include access to The Artist’s Nest, the resort’s club-level lounge overlooking Bay Lake. We’ll cover The Artist’s Nest a little later.

Deluxe Studio

Deluxe Studios are the bread-and-butter accommodations found at every DVC resort. Lakeshore Lodge’s version will sleep up to four guests and feature woodland-inspired touches from Bambi.

Disney promises natural materials and original concept artwork pulled from the Walt Disney Animation Studios archives. As with several recent DVC builds, the Lakeshore Lodge studios reverse the traditional layout, placing the standard bed closer to the window. That bed’s headboard extends to the ceiling. It’s a great look.

Resort Studio

Resort Studios will also sleep up to four guests, but they’ll come with two queen beds instead of the usual bed-and-Murphy-bed arrangement.

These rooms will feature earthy colors and artwork inspired by Pocahontas. Select Resort Studios will include access to The Artist’s Nest.

One-Bedroom Villa

The Bambi-themed One-Bedroom Villas will accommodate up to five guests. Each will include a full kitchen, washer and dryer, private patio, and separate living and dining areas.

One-Bedroom Lake House

One-Bedroom Lake Houses will also sleep up to five guests, but they’re on a different level from the regular One-Bedroom Villas.

These freestanding waterfront accommodations will feature A-frame architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows, a private porch, full kitchen, washer and dryer, and artwork inspired by Brother Bear.

Freestanding DVC accommodations are nothing new. The Polynesian and Wilderness Lodge offer something similar with their Bungalows and Cascade Cabins, respectively. However, this will be the first time DVC has offered one with a one-bedroom layout.

Hidden Willow Presidential Suite

The Hidden Willow Presidential Suite will accommodate up to six guests across two bedrooms. It will also include two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, views of Bay Lake, and access to The Artist’s Nest.

Like the Resort Studios, the presidential suite won’t include Murphy beds.

Two-Bedroom Lake House

The Two-Bedroom Lake Houses will sleep up to eight guests and bring Brother Bear vibes to Bay Lake. Like the one-bedroom version, each freestanding retreat will include a private waterfront porch, full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature in the primary bedroom.

Two-Bedroom Villa

Two-Bedroom Villas will sleep up to nine guests, giving them a slightly higher capacity than the Two-Bedroom Lake Houses.

The Bambi-inspired accommodations will include a full kitchen, washer and dryer, private patio, and spacious living and dining areas.

Three-Bedroom Grand Villa

The resort’s largest accommodations, Three-Bedroom Grand Villas will sleep up to 12 guests.

Each will feature Fantasia-inspired artwork, multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen, several gathering spaces, and a private patio overlooking Bay Lake.

The Artist’s Nest Club-Level Lounge

Guests staying in select Resort Studios and Resort Studio King rooms will receive access to The Artist’s Nest. Access will also be included with the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite.

Perched above the treetops, the club-level lounge will offer personalized service, complimentary refreshments, and exclusive views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Overall, we love the variety of room types coming to Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. We’re also preparing for some serious sticker shock.

With its massive pool area – and its lazy river –we always expected Lakeshore Lodge to command premium points. But the Lake Houses, club-level rooms, and presidential suite will likely force most current owners to choose between a few luxurious nights and a much longer stay in a studio.
