DVC Members Can Preview Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Before It Opens

Disney Vacation Club is giving Members the opportunity to experience Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge before it opens to regular guests. The 4-day, 3-night “First Wave” experience runs from June 24–27, 2027.

This is much more than a hotel stay. Members will also receive theme park tickets, exclusive dining experiences, commemorative keepsakes, and a behind-the-scenes look at the new resort.

Before I get your hopes up too much, prepare yourself for some serious sticker shock. I’m not kidding. This preview requires a massive number of points.

The amounts below cover the first two guests in each accommodation. Additional guests require even more points, or a cash payment.

A preview Deluxe Studio with a preferred view costs 200 points. Let’s compare that with Deluxe Studios at other Walt Disney World DVC resorts for the same three nights:

  • Animal Kingdom Lodge (Savanna View): 51 points
  • Bay Lake Tower (Theme Park View): 75 points
  • Riviera Resort (Resort View): 57 points
  • Saratoga Springs (Standard): 46 points

Keep in mind that these unusually high point totals apply only to the preview experience. They do not reflect what guests will pay once the resort officially opens.

Learn more about Lakeshore Lodge’s various room types.

Now that we’ve gotten those numbers out of the way, here’s what the experience includes:

  • A 4-day, 3-night stay at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge
  • A 3-day Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket with the Park Hopper option for each guest, ages 3 and older
  • DVC Event-Exclusive dining, including:
    • One dinner at Moonglade, the Resort hotel’s new table-service restaurant
    • One breakfast at Pioneer Hall
    • One dinner at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
    • A $200 Disney Dining Promo Card, per person, ages 3 and older
  • Insights into the making of Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge
  • Commemorative keepsakes

With all of that included, the point requirements look a lot more reasonable. These are some serious perks, especially for Members who aren’t Annual Passholders and would otherwise need to purchase theme park tickets.

I’d love to take part in the “First Wave.” DVC knows how to put on a great event, and the opportunity to be among the first guests at a brand-new deluxe resort is certainly enticing. But depending on the accommodation, this experience would wipe out a large chunk of our points for the year.

Plenty of Members will still be ready to book. To qualify, you’ll need to be eligible for Membership Extras. Not sure if you are? Check your digital membership card. If it displays “DVC-Y,” you’re good to go.

Reservations open Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10 AM Eastern Time and must be made by calling (800) 800-9800 or (407) 566-3800.

Visit our Lakeshore Lodge hub for more about the DVC resort, including its “Wetlands” pool area, restaurants, and fireworks-viewing areas.
