Encanto Attraction Prep Spotted in Tropical Americas Construction
Where would we be without @bioreconstruct? The world’s greatest theme park photographer has provided us with more aerial shots of Walt Disney World construction. Today, we’re getting a glimpse of the upcoming Tropical Americas land in Animal Kingdom.

Nine days ago, Walt Disney Imagineering filed two notices of commencement, relatively simple permits that allow Whiting-Turner to install a pair of construction trailers. While minor, they do suggest activity in the new land is about to ramp up. Bio’s latest photos back that up, showing that even more trees have been cleared since our last update. And plenty of dirt has been trucked in, no doubt to prep the land for the new Encanto attraction building.

Even more interesting is what’s happening in the laydown yard north of Tropical Americas. Bio snapped pics of exterior models and pavement tests. According to @Aahs_n_oohs, the models are usually positioned to match the angles they’ll take on the actual attraction building. He also noticed a test piece that includes a tree, rocks, and shrubbery.

The Encanto portion of Tropical Americas is scheduled to open in 2027.
