Slinky Dog Dash Enters Third Day of Downtime

Slinky is tired.

A Slinky Dog Dash train is currently stuck on the track at Hollywood Studios. The ride, now entering its third day of downtime, isn’t expected to open today. Possibly not tomorrow, either.

BlogMickey shared those details in a post this morning, noting that an electrical panel is open near the motionless toy dog and the ride’s second launch.

Cast Members on-site are answering the same questions over and over with the only thing they can say: “We don’t know when it will reopen.” So if you’re at Hollywood Studios, go over and say hello. Ask how their day is going, never mentioning the ride. They could use a break from the monotony.

Slinky was having issues even before going dark on August 31. According to Thrill Data, the ride was down for more than four hours on August 28 and nearly seven hours on August 29.
