Edna Á La Mode Sweets Brings Superhero Desserts to Disney Destiny

Disney’s PR team unleashed a torrent of Disney Destiny news today. They shared details about a Hercules stage show, The Sanctum lounge, Grand Hall lighting, and a giant Spider-Man. Now we’ve learned that Edna Mode is opening a sweet shop on the Destiny called Edna Á La Mode Sweets. Nicely done, Disney.

The new confectionary is inspired by Auntie Edna, a Pixar short. In it, the iconic superhero fashion designer has to babysit the wildly unpredictable Jack-Jack. She eventually turns to cookies to calm down the intense Incredibles baby. The cookies didn’t work, but an idea was born.

Taking on the signature look of the films, the futuristic design blends techy features with sweet surprises for super fans. A collection of Edna’s sketches and high-fashion artwork will decorate the walls, with the front window showcasing costume models of the latest suits for Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. Families will strike their best heroic poses with a fun sculpture of Jack-Jack and Edna working on her cookie recipe and may even spot the infamous Rocky the raccoon popping out of a garbage can nearby, attempting to get his paws on a plate of cookies.
