DVC Members Can Soon Reserve Fireworks Viewing at Top of the World Lounge

Disney Vacation Club Members will soon be able to reserve complimentary fireworks viewing at Bay Lake Tower’s Top of the World Lounge. Beginning January 1, 2026, eligible DVC owners with Membership Extras can book a spot up to 60 days in advance. As with Disney dining reservations, guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can try to book for their entire stay (up to 10 nights).

Walk-up availability will remain first-come, first-served. And honestly, we’ve never had trouble getting in, even when showing up as Happily Ever After is starting. Still, this option will be a must for those wanting to visit on July 3 & 4 or December 30 & 31. My only concern is that adding reservations could create demand where it wasn’t before.

In addition to complimentary viewing, eligible DVC Members can also book Wicked Wind Down 60 days out. The $55 prix fixe experience includes a cocktail, an appetizer, the chef’s “sinfully sweet dessert of the day,” and reserved fireworks viewing on the outdoor terrace.

How to book the Top of the World Lounge

Reservations for both the complimentary viewing and Wicked Wind Down must be made by calling Member Services at (800) 800-9800. Phone lines open at 9 a.m. Eastern. Before calling, be sure you’re eligible for Membership Extras. The easiest way to check is on your digital DVC card. If you see DVC Y or DVC BY, you’re good to go.

Members may bring up to four guests per DVC card, or the total number of guests listed on their Walt Disney World Resort reservation if it was booked using their Disney Vacation Club Membership.

Parking and checking in

Guests with reservations (either complimentary or for Wicked Wind Down) can park at Disney’s Contemporary Resort beginning up to 2 hours before their reservation. They’ll need to present their reservation confirmation at the hotel’s security gate. Those without a booking will need to use Disney transportation to get to the resort. We’re not sure if this is a new rule. We’ve been able to park at the Contemporary before, even without a reservation.

Top of the World Lounge is open daily from 6 p.m. to midnight. Guests must check in at the lounge’s podium on the 16th floor of Bay Lake Tower and may arrive up to 90 minutes before their reservation time. The DVC Member who made the reservation must be present and will need to show both their DVC card and a government-issued photo ID.

Watching fireworks from the Top of the World Lounge is one of our favorite perks. The views of Space Mountain, TRON, and Happily Ever After are spectacular. The crowds are minimal. The food is delicious. Just don’t tell anyone about it.
