Disneyland Adding Parking Garage, Harbor Boulevard Pedestrian Bridge
The Disneyland Resort is set to undergo a major infrastructure transformation. According to the Disney Parks Blog, a new parking structure and transportation hub will be added to the east side of the resort. These updates are part of the DisneylandForward development plan.
The new parking garage will include “approximately 6,000 parking spaces, shuttle and rideshare areas, security screening, and dedicated access for traffic off of Disney Way, improving parking and traffic flow throughout the resort area.” The plans also call for a new pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard, “leading to an all-new esplanade arrival experience.”
These infrastructure updates are a necessary first step for future construction projects throughout the resort. Those include an Avengers Campus expansion, a new Avatar experience, and a Coco-themed ride. Construction is set to begin in the fall of 2026.
