Disney Trademarks Infinite Fates for Possible Theme Park Show

Disney has filed a trademark for Disney Infinite Fates, complete with a logo. I took some liberties with the artwork for our lead image. The version included with the trademark is simply black and white.

The filing lists several possibilities for the new brand, including “amusement park and theme park services, entertainment in the nature of theater productions, entertainment services in the nature of an amusement park show.” It also covers games and downloadable software. Disney is covering its bases.

As soon as I saw Aahs n Oohs’ post on the filing, I thought of the new Villains-themed land coming to Magic Kingdom. The ornate lettering and book scream fairy tales to me. But the name might be the biggest clue.

In February, we covered a report from TheWrap that the new land will feature a Hades-themed dinner show. Pain and Panic from Disney’s Hercules will entertain guests during a prix fixe meal.

That movie also has three characters that work well with this trademark. The Fates are three sisters who share one eye. They use that eye to see the past, present, and future and determine when a mortal’s life will end. A show called Infinite Fates involving Hades and the sisters sounds like a contender for Magic Kingdom.

“Infinite” also makes me think of Marvel. The studio has been focused on alternate realities and the multiverse lately, and the logo does have some Agatha All Along vibes. The Hyperion Theater – currently vacant – sits right next to Avengers Campus.

Or maybe it has nothing to do with Disney’s theme parks, and I’m just reading way too much into an innocent video game logo because D23’s Disney Experiences Showcase is right around the corner.
