Disney+ Will Livestream the 2026 Disney Experiences Showcase
Disney fans who were unable to secure a ticket to the Disney Experiences showcase at this week’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event are in luck. Horizons: A Carousel of Progress will be livestreamed on Disney+ on August 15, 2026, at 7 PM PT.
Viewers will be able to follow along as Neil Patrick Harris, artists, storytellers, and creative leaders reveal what’s coming to Disney’s parks, cruise ships, and destinations around the world.
Here’s how Disney describes the event:
“Horizons will feature a series of conversations with Walt Disney Imagineering leaders and creative talent helping shape projects around the world – taking the audience on a journey through Disney’s unmatched storytelling legacy, the spirit of adventure at the heart of so many Disney stories, the remarkable creative process anchored by exploration and curiosity, and the bold promise of possibility that has guided Imagineers for more than seven decades.”
In addition to “high-energy performances, special moments, and a little Disney magic along the way,” we’ll also get project updates, presumably on Monstropolis, Magic Kingdom’s villains land, Tropical Americas, the Disney Believe, the Carousel of Progress, and more.

Horizons being livestreamed isn’t the only thing new about this year’s event. Disney is opting for a more “intimate” vibe as Imagineers and Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum “engage in conversations that bring audiences closer to the creative minds” building these new experiences.
The list of Imagineers is impressive, beginning with Bruce Vaughn, President and Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Imagineering. He’ll be joined by:
- Ali Rubinstein, Senior Vice President, Global Creative & Development Studios
- Michael Hundgen, Vice President Creative, Walt Disney World
- Emily “Emo” O’Brien, Portfolio Creative Producer, Disneyland Resort and Tokyo Disney Resort
- Caroline May, Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney World
- Claire Weiss, Portfolio Creative Director, Disney Cruise Line
- Brent Strong, Executive Creative Director
- Chris Beatty, Portfolio Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney World
- Jason Grandt, Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney World
In addition to watching the Experiences Showcase livestream, Disney+ subscribers can unlock “special Disney+ Perks, offers, and experiences” all weekend long.
