Disney Imagineers Reveal Updated Test Track 3.0 Vehicles
Walt Disney Imagineering shared a behind-the-scenes look at the ride vehicles coming to Test Track 3.0. In an Instagram video, Imagineers Andrew and Matt show how crews are busy updating the existing fleet to match the vibe of the new ride.
“The new vehicles are a much subtler design. They’re darker to blend in with the environment a little more. We’re leaning more towards [an] R&D version. For the vehicles themselves, we are replacing a lot of the interiors. They get new seats, new paint, new vehicle wraps, new graphics on the interior.”

Andrew confirmed that the cars are just one part of the ride’s update: “While we are rewrapping the entire fleet of vehicles, this is just one aspect of the reimagining of Test Track.”
Test Track vehicle testing began last month. If that’s not exciting enough, a Chevrolet representative recently told Mariann Bell that the reimagining is ahead of schedule.
