Chevy Rep: Test Track Construction Ahead of Schedule

As Test Track ride vehicle testing continues, fans are wondering exactly when EPCOT’s fastest attraction will reopen. While Disney has only confirmed a “late summer” debut, Mariann Bell learned that Test Track’s construction is ahead of schedule. A Chevrolet representative outside the attraction also said the ride “could reopen sooner than expected.” Chevy is the ride’s sponsor.

So what does “sooner” mean? Without knowing the original timeline, it’s hard to say. To me, late summer means mid-August until the beginning of autumn, also known as the time kids go back to school. I’m sure Disney would be thrilled to debut Test Track before then, while summer crowds are still high. But let’s take this information with a grain of salt. Nothing official was announced today. But still, I like what I’m hearing.

Why was Mariann chatting with Chevrolet reps outside Test Track? Because I had asked her husband, Derek, for some construction photos. And he delivered. It’s just another reminder to surround yourself with awesome people like the Bells.
