Disney Files Permit for New Props at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT
Late last year, Disney announced updates were coming to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT. Phase one of those changes, the attraction’s conversion from 3D to 2D, happened quickly. The ride was down for only a few days in November. Now, phase two appears to be getting underway as Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a Notice of Commencement permit for work on the trackless ride.

Icarus Exhibits, a longtime Imagineering collaborator, has been brought on to install set elements. We don’t yet know exactly what’s being added, but Disney previously confirmed that guests can expect enhancements throughout both the queue and the ride itself:
“Remy’s fans will spot new props and lighting enhancements when they are added to the queue and attraction over the next few months.”
Disneyland Paris’ Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy underwent a similar transformation over winter, also receiving 2D projectors and new props.
Disney hasn’t announced any additional downtime for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, so it appears Icarus will be working after hours.
