Disney Files Permit for Monsters, Inc. Retheme of Muppet*Vision 3D

Disney Imagineering has filed a “notice of commencement” permit for work on the Muppet*Vision 3D building in Hollywood Studios. The structure is being reimagined as the Glob Theater, which will host a Monsters, Inc. show.

The permit lists the work as “general construction” and expires in one year. More permits will follow, as PizzeRizzo and Mama Melrose will also be reimagined. The Stage 1 Company store is being demolished as part of the transformation.

Monstropolis’ biggest addition is a Monsters, Inc. suspended coaster. The monstrous building (sorry) is set to be built outside Hollywood Studios’ current footprint.
