Disney Files Permit for Magic of Disney Animation Show Elements
A new Notice of Commencement filing sheds more light on The Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This one assigns Adirondack Studios to install set elements inside the reimagined space.
Adirondack’s work is well known to Disney fans around the world. They’ve contributed to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on both coasts, EPCOT’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea. Recently, they’ve been working in the Glob Theater, helping reimagine it for the upcoming Monstropolis land.
This latest permit builds on a number of recent filings tied to the project. PCL Services is handling additional set installation, while Elite A/V Systems and Solotech are doing electrical work.
Once open, The Magic of Disney Animation will include:
- Olaf Draws! – an Animation Academy-style class led by an Audio-Animatronics Olaf
- Enchanted Art Gallery – a space where Disney characters come to life through animated displays
- Once Upon A Studio Theater – a dedicated theater for the Emmy Award-winning short, enhanced with in-theater effects
- Drawn to Wonderland Playground – an indoor play area inspired by Mary Blair’s Alice in Wonderland concept art
- Character Greetings – multiple meet-and-greet locations throughout the building
The Magic of Walt Disney Animation debuts in late summer in Hollywood Studios.
