Adirondack Studios Joins Glob Theater Project in Monstropolis

Monstropolis’ Glob Theater is welcoming a new contractor. Adirondack Studios is listed in a new Notice of Commencement filed by Walt Disney Imagineering this morning. They’ll be installing set elements in the former home of Muppet*Vision 3D in Hollywood Studios.

Adirondack Studios specializes in scenic design and fabrication, creating themed sets, props, and environmental elements for attractions, museums, and other immersive experiences. They’re long-time Disney collaborators, having contributed to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Galaxy’s Edge in both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios, and Fantasy Springs in Tokyo DisneySea.

Bioreconstruct recently flew over Hollywood Studios and revealed that the theater’s exterior is going through some changes. Crews have stripped away large sections of the brick facade, matching what we see in the concept art.

We don’t know exactly what kind of Monsters-centric show is going into the Glob Theater, but with Adirondack joining The Jon Richards Company and Solotech, we’re excited for the possibilities.
