Dining Reservations Removed From My Disney App

In what may be a temporary measure, Disney has removed dining reservations from the My Disney Experience app. Guests tapping “Check Dining Availability” are now being redirected to the Walt Disney World website. Mobile ordering at quick-service restaurants is still handled within the app.

As you may recall, Disney struggled with last week’s Beak and Barrel reservations rollout. After multiple system reboots, they eventually moved the booking window until tonight at 7 PM Eastern. This morning’s MDE update suggests Disney may introduce a virtual queue this evening. Directing all guests to the website would make implementing such a system far simpler.

For now, it’s unclear whether this change is temporary or the start of a larger shift. Given last week’s issues, it’s safe to assume Disney IT is exploring every option. Whatever the case, guests trying for Beak and Barrel reservations tonight should log in to the Disney World website before 7 PM Eastern.
