Universal Orlando Adds UOFistBump to Its Mobile App
Universal Orlando Resort has made it easier for guests to recognize Team Members who go above and beyond. The #UOFistBump program is now available through the Universal Orlando app.
For years, Universal Orlando has directed guests to recognize outstanding Team Members by posting the #UOFistBump hashtag on Twitter/X. Guests also regularly share fist bumps on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and other platforms. Compliments can also be submitted by email.
Posting on social media requires guests to have an account and be comfortable sharing the interaction publicly. Email keeps it private, but it also asks guests to open their inbox and compose a message from scratch while on vacation.
The new app feature removes those barriers. Users simply need to open the app, scroll to “Helpful Tools” at the bottom of the home screen, and select #UOFistBump.

The resulting screen asks guests to complete a form with their information and details about the Team Member or Members they would like to recognize. All fields, including email and phone number, are required.
We hope the update results in a flood of compliments for Orlando’s Team Members. Those who receive UOFistBumps get internal recognition, reward points, and notes added to their files.

During Universal Kids Resort’s opening days, I was on the phone with Aahs n Oohs, raving about the park’s Team Members. He suggested I post a #UKRFistBump. I did, but the hashtag doesn’t appear to have caught on.
An official in-app feature would make it much easier for those Team Members to receive their kudos. There’s just one problem: Frisco’s theme park doesn’t have an app yet. Hopefully, one is coming soon. We also couldn’t find the feature in the Universal Studios Hollywood app.
Disney offers something similar through the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps. Mobile Cast Compliment allows guests to praise Cast Members directly from their phones.
