Universal Kids Resort Video Previews Jurassic World and Bikini Bottom
Universal Kids Resort has released a new video showcasing two of the themed lands coming to the Frisco, Texas, park. We’re treated to animated looks at Jurassic World Adventure Camp and SpongeBob SquarePants’ Bikini Bottom, including previews of several attractions and fly-throughs of the lands themselves.
Jurassic World Adventure Camp
First up is Jurassic World Adventure Camp. Earlier this week, we saw the park’s first ride testing when Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin began spinning. The preview now shows how the attraction will look once it has its full range of motion. We also saw animations of the Cretaceous Coaster and Pteranodrop.
Emily Probus, an associate producer with Universal Creative, confirmed the land’s character encounter will feature a baby Velociraptor. Unlike the more intense Raptor Encounter at Islands of Adventure, she described this version as “something that’s a little more approachable for kids.”
Executive producer Susan Cummings added that the team wanted younger guests to experience Jurassic World in a way that felt comfortable for them.

In addition to what’s being said, the fly-throughs subtly reveal plenty that hasn’t yet been shared before today. For starters, we’re treated to Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin and Pteranodrop attraction signs.

Even cooler is what’s found lurking behind Pteranodrop’s two towers. Paddock Play, a free-play area, features a Jurassic World gate and several larger dinosaur-themed playground structures. While Aahs n Oohs glimpsed the Jurassic World gate in the previous concept art, it isn’t present in Universal’s latest park map.

SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
The video then moves to SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, revealing animated previews of several attractions, including Jellyfish Fields Jamboree, an aerial spinner; the Barnacle Bus, a Zamperla half-pipe spinning ride; and Bobbing Barrels, a flat spinner where guests can blast each other with water.

The fly-through also takes viewers inside Pineapple Paradise’s iconic pineapple structure, revealing a wet play area filled with water features. Expect crowds in July.

Universal shared additional footage of kids meeting SpongeBob and confirmed that Goofy Goober’s will serve its signature sundaes.
Universal Chief Creative Officer Brian Robinson closed the video by teasing more previews to come, calling the park “an absolute celebration of what it’s like to be a kid.”
