Universal Kids Resort Rides: Height Requirements for Every Attraction
Universal Kids Resort has released ride height requirements for 12 of its 13 upcoming attractions. And yes, as expected, they’re very kid-friendly. Several rides are open to even the youngest guests.
There is a catch, however. For many attractions, children under 48 inches tall will need a supervising companion. In other words, this is a park designed for riding together, not cutting kids loose and meeting them at the exit.
Interestingly, one attraction goes the other direction. Mrs. Puff’s Boating School has a maximum height requirement. Riders over 6’5″ need not apply. I’m happy to report I barely made the cut. I’ll be flooring it as soon as it opens.
Dreamworks’ Shrek’s Swamp

- Height Requirement: 30″ (76 cm). Children under 42″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion. Hand-held infants are not permitted.
Bobbing Barrels
- Ride Type: Family-friendly dual flat spinner
- Height Requirement: 36” (92 cm). Children under 48″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion. Hand-held infants are not permitted.
Mrs. Puff’s Boating School
- Ride Type: Family-friendly spinning flat ride
- Height Requirement: 36″ (92 cm). Children under 48″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
This ride has a maximum height of 77″ (195 cm).

Most kids are going to have a blast in this park, but they shouldn’t ditch their parents at the gate. Well, they might need to if one of them is over 6’5″.
