Universal Kids Resort Construction to Be Completed by May 2026

Permits filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) indicate that Universal Kids Resort construction will be completed by May 15, 2026. The filing was made by Richard Lozano, a Registered Accessibility Specialist with ECD Design / Accessibility. The permit lists FTNV, LLC as the owner. FTNV is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NBCUniversal. The design firm is M. Arthur Gensler Jr. & Associates Inc.

The estimated cost of the project is listed at $152,413,101. Universal has previously stated that it would invest $550 in Universal Kids Resort. The filing lacks specifics, defining the scope of the project as simply “Construction of a theme park and hotel.” It also lists the size as 718,552 square feet (16.5 acres). The entire lot is 97 acres.
