Universal Announces Opening Dates for Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resorts

Universal Orlando keeps dropping epic content about its future. Today, they announced the opening dates for the Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort Hotels. Stella Nova will welcome guests starting January 21, 2025. Terra Luna will open its doors on February 25, 2025. Rooms at both resorts start at $147 per night, an incredible price for accommodations so close to Epic Universe.

In addition to plenty of beautiful concept art, Universal has also shared a video of fly-throughs of the two resorts.

Stella Nova “is a place where guests will take off for amazing adventures at the theme parks and touch down for relaxation and recharging in between the fun.” The resort features serene teals and calming purples. Terra Luna invites guests to “explore the unknown and step onto planets that have yet to be discovered.” Its color palette is filled with greens and golds.

Hotel Rooms

Each hotel has 750 double-queen rooms, each accommodating up to four guests. The above concept art shows nearly identical rooms featuring spaceship-styled windows. I love the theming, especially considering the price point. Universal is offering affordable accommodations that look great and are right across the street from a massive, new theme park. 1,000 out of 5 stars!

“Cosmic-Inspired” Food & Beverages

Stella Nova Resort and Terra Luna Resort offer several dining options:

Cosmos Cafe and Market at Stella Nova Resort and Omega Cafe and Market at Terra Luna Resort are quick-service restaurants offering American breakfast, lunch, and dinner classics. Grab-and-go items are also available.

Galaxy Bar and Galaxy Grill at Stella Nova Resort and Moonrise Bar and Moonrise Grill at Terra Luna Resort are walk-up service pool bars and grills. They offer burgers, quesadillas, and salads. Older guests can enjoy cocktails, beer, and wine.

Nova Bar at Stella Nova Resort and Luna Bar at Terra Luna Resort specialize in cocktails curated with unique ingredients. You can find them in each hotel’s lobby.

“Stellar” Amenities

Each resort has a 10,000-square-foot pool, complete with a hot tub, fire pit, and plenty of comfy seating. The pool areas will host movies and outdoor games, as well.

Guests looking to work off theme park calories can do so in the resorts’ fitness centers, which include strength and cardio equipment. Locker rooms include showers, the ideal amenity for those looking to work out on departure days.

Younger guests will love playing arcade and video games in the game rooms. 1,000-square-foot recreation rooms are also available.

Finally, guests will be able to purchase sundries and Universal merchandise in the Universal Orlando Resort Stores.

Theme Park Benefits

As is the case with any Universal Orlando Resort Hotel, guests staying at Stella Nova and Luna Nova can take advantage of Early Park Admission to Universal Volcano Bay and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure up to one hour before the park opens. Obviously, you’ll need to purchase tickets to take advantage. Complimentary transportation to the parks is available.
