Tree of Life Awakenings Featuring Mufasa
Nighttime in Animal Kingdom is something to behold. Unfortunately, the park closes so early most nights that few can experience it. But if you visit during the winter, you can take advantage of early sunsets to wander Animal Kingdom in the dark. And if you’re heading to Disney World soon, you can take in a special Tree of Life Awakenings featuring Mufasa. I won’t be able to enjoy the temporary show but was able to watch the holiday edition during Moonlight Magic last month.

According to BlogMickey, the show features scenes from Mufasa: The Lion King set to the new song Milele. Here’s the announcement from Disney.
“For a limited time at the Tree of Life Awakenings, you can experience the wonder of the Lion King and the story of Mufusa. Mystical animal images and a new musical score tell the story of Mufasa’s unlikely rise to become the beloved king of the Pride Lands.”
In addition to the Tree of Life with Mufasa, be sure to check out the holiday luminaries on Discovery Island, the Diwali lights in India, and of course, Pandora.

Tree of Life Awakenings plays every 10 minutes after dark until the park closes.
