Theater Effects Added to MagicBand+
Disney announced that theater effects have been added to the MagicBand+. Disney World guests wearing the wristbands can now enjoy cool interactions during select shows, including For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration and Festival of the Lion King. Other shows will also be included, but we don’t know which ones yet.
MagicBand+ interactions are a fun feature, especially for younger guests. The bands light up and vibrate during nighttime spectaculars, but I’m usually too engrossed in the show to notice. I’ll admit, I can’t resist waving my MagicBand at the Disney Fab 50 statues, hoping for a response. However, the best use of the tech is the Batuu Bounty Hunters Game in Hollywood Studios. I’d love to see Disney introduce more MagicBand+ games in the other parks. With the loss of kid-friendly play areas like Tom Sawyer Island and The Boneyard, younger guests have fewer chances for exploration. Scavenger hunts will help fill that void.
