The Shadow Man Sets Sail: Dr. Facilier Joins Disney Destiny
Disney’s “Heroes and Villains” ship is getting one of Disney’s most iconic baddies. Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog will soon join the Disney Destiny. Guests can encounter the Shadow Man in several spots throughout the ship, including an experience called “Parlour Tricks with Dr Facilier.” Here’s Disney’s announcement:
“This cunningly charming illusionist may be lurking around the upper levels of the Grand Hall or in his own makeshift parlor, inviting guests in for a card trick or sleight of hand – he’s just here to make new friends…”
Fan reaction on social media went something like this: “Why isn’t he on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure?!” Since the ride takes place after the events of the movie, Dr. Facilier is no longer with us. The Disney Destiny has no such timeline constraints, however.
