Statler and Waldorf Bring Their Heckling to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
Statler and Waldorf have officially been re-bolted to their seats. To the delight of basically everyone, the hecklers have made the move from Grand Avenue to Sunset Boulevard. Disney shared a short clip of the Audio-Animatronics doing what they do best: slaying.
Disney didn’t reveal exactly where they’re located, but it looks like the unload area. It’s the perfect spot. Sure, seeing them perched in the balcony overlooking the launch would’ve been incredible. But placing them at the end of the ride gives guests a chance to actually enjoy the jokes without also mentally preparing for that launch.
Statler and Waldorf appear to be seated inside an Airstream-style trailer, with a crate of tomatoes within arm’s reach. Along with reviving their iconic Muppet*Vision 3D “bolted to the seats” gag, they’re also bringing some new coaster material:
“You know, this concert reminds me of a roller coaster.”
“How’s that?”
“It’s all downhill.”
If this really is the unload area, even guests taking the chicken exit will still get to enjoy the insults on their way out.
