Soarin’ Across America Soft Opens Early at EPCOT
Soarin’ Across America has soft opened at EPCOT four days ahead of its official debut. And for once, wait times are available in the My Disney Experience (MDE) app. That’s not how Disney usually handles soft openings. By broadcasting it to everyone in the park, expect crowds to descend on The Land Pavilion in droves.
Soarin’s third iteration takes guests on a scenic tour across America. The update is part of “Disney Celebrates America,” the company’s celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary. Instead of the Matterhorn and a slightly crooked Eiffel Tower, guests are now treated to Mount Rushmore, a rocket launch, New York Harbor, and more.
Even better, the updated ride means we get another beautiful score from Bruce Broughton. The composer created yet another stellar accompaniment to the attraction’s aerials. Jerry Goldsmith’s original themes are still very much the foundation, though.
Soarin’ Across America was supposed to debut on May 26, 2026. We’ll keep our countdown clock running anyway. I’m not entirely sure why. Maybe I’m just a stickler for details.
