Seahawks’ Kenneth Walker III, Sam Darnold: “We’re Going to Disneyland!”
This year’s Super Bowl belonged to the Seattle Seahawks defense. Smothering. Relentless. QB stupefying. So naturally, two offensive players are headed to Disneyland today.
Kenneth Walker III, who ran for 135 yards on 27 carries and caught two passes for 26 yards, was the game’s MVP and obvious choice to visit the park. Sam Darnold, the Seahawks’ QB, will be joining him. They uttered the famous “We’re going to Disneyland” line shortly after the game.
The two will enjoy several attractions before rolling down Main Street, U.S.A., in a celebration cavalcade. If you’re not a football fan, that’s your cue to sprint to the Indiana Jones Adventure. Always go where the crowds are not.
Disney’s Super Bowl marketing tradition began with Phil Simms in 1987. A year later, Doug Williams delivered the line after the greatest performance in Super Bowl history. I’m biased, sure, but also correct.
