Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Will Be a Tier 1 Lightning Lane Attraction

Apparently, it doesn’t matter which band books studio time at G-Force Records. Whether it’s Aerosmith or Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, the crowds will still line up outside the door. So it’s not surprising that Disney is keeping Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets as a Tier 1 Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction when it opens this summer at Hollywood Studios.

That means the Muppets are joining the following attractions in the top tier:

  • Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
  • Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
  • Slinky Dog Dash

And here are the Tier 2 options:

  • Alien Swirling Saucers
  • Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage
  • For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
  • Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
  • The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure
  • Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
  • Toy Story Mania!
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

When pre-booking Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections, guests may choose one attraction from Tier 1 and two from Tier 2. Three Walt Disney World parks use this tiered system. Animal Kingdom, with fewer attractions, does not.

It makes sense. It’s still going to be a great coaster, no matter who’s at the wheel. Disney could’ve pushed the Muppets into the Single Pass category with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Thankfully, they didn’t. Statler and Waldorf will still complain, but at least they won’t have to pay even more for the privilege.
