Revved Up and Reimagined: Test Track Reopens July 22
This is the news we’ve been waiting for! Test Track Presented by General Motors reopens on July 22. The third version of the ride will highlight new automotive technologies that make our lives “more fun.” In addition, we’ll be treated to an all-new musical score as we travel through several new scenes.
Disney added over 29,000 points of light to demonstrate LIDAR technology, which enables cars to be aware of their surroundings.
Other areas have a more organic vibe. In the following video, Imagineers talk about how they incorporated different trees into the ride. Stay for the fantastic dad joke at the end.

As is the case with all new and reimagined rides, Disney will use previews to “test” the latest version of Test Track: “Just like you always check your mirrors when you get behind the wheel, we encourage you to keep an eye out for more information to share in the coming weeks about special previews for cast members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Golden Oak residents and Club 33 Members alike to ride before the attraction officially reopens.”
We’ll share those details as we receive them. You’ll want to book EPCOT park reservations as soon as those dates are announced. They most definitely will sell out. Snag one for July 22 while you’re at it.
